The Philips Activa is slated to come out in April 2010. It is an MP3 player with a built in accelerometer that matches your jogging pace. No big deal so far. But it also analyzes your music library for tempo, and then, yeah, you guessed it, plays music with a beat that matches your running speed!
Since buying a Garmin I run at least 2x more than before I had one.
ReplyDeleteWhy couldn’t this be an iPhone app? Mp3 player - check. Accelerometer -check. Analyze music library for tempo and then play music back that matches tempo -- well that would be where the app wizardry would come into play...
